Sara and Stuart tied the knot in September celebrating their wedding with family and friends in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. They took their vows at the charming St Martins Church, Bowness on Windermere, followed by a truly elegant and rustic inspired reception at the stunning Forestside Hotel, Grasmere, nestled in the heart of the lakes picturesque landscape.

After a previous dress searches that didn’t quite meet her expectations, JTBC bride Sara entrusted me to help her find the perfect wedding dress. Together, we chose a stunning, elegant Sassi Holford fit and flare dress created in the most luminous embossed crepe fabric—a dress I knew would truly capture Sara’s bridal style and her wedding day vision.

To choose a boutique that not only carries dresses that suit your aesthetic but also truly understands your vision. And not to shy away from considering the ‘wild car’ dress suggested by your stylist—the one you might never have picked yourself. It could very well turn out to be the one you’ve been searching for all along!

How was your dress search and what made you choose your dress at JTBC?

After trying on so many dresses, I was exhausted and starting to lose hope of finding ‘the one’. I wanted a classic style, but so many boutiques were filled with trendy, low quality designs. Also, while visiting the other boutiques, I felt like they were just trying to make a sale instead of truly listening to what I wanted. I was having such a hard time finding a dress that suited my body type. At first visit to JTBC, Julia really understood what suited my body shape, and for the first time, I felt truly listened to. At my first appointment, Julia picked out a dress which she thought would be perfect for me—And WOW, I would have never picked a strapless, fit and flare style but the moment I tried it on, I was completely in love! The ‘Astrid’ dress by British bridal designer Sassi Holford was absolutely nearly perfect… it just needed a bespoke lace jacket adding to my dress, and then my bridal look truly became my own.

Tell me about your chosen bridal accessories?

I attended an Accessory Event at JTBC and I chose a stunning crystal and pearl hair vine from bridal accessory designer Debbie Carlisle, it added just the right amount of sparkle to complete my bridal look perfectly.

Sara also, opted for a fine tulle full-length semi-bespoke veil – I hand placed and embellished Sara’s veil with the matching lace of her JTBC bespoke jacket.

Do you have any final words you wish to share about your JTBC experience?

Julia not only listened to all my ideas, but also added her own brilliant suggestions along the way. When I finally choose the lace and style for my bespoke jacket, my dress felt so uniquely me—it was like a dream come to life! Julia is absolutely wonderful, she makes you feel totally at ease in her beautiful boutique. She’s elegant, professional, and truly an expert— you’re in the best hands!

What advice would you give other brides starting their dress search and buying journey?

Stay open-minded, and don’t lose hope if you’re having trouble finding the dress! It’s out there waiting for you.
