A happy ‘Hello’ to you. Today, I’m so excited to share beautiful JTBC bride Katie’s wedding day…

Imagine, walking down the aisle on your wedding day to softly played piano music, drinking Pimms and Processco on the lawn with family and friends, and dining under beautiful floral hanging wreaths… How completely magical and truly idyllic Katie’s wedding day sounds!

Katie married Richard at the unique wedding venue, Hidden River Barn, near Carlisle, Cumbria. Katie looked divine wearing a stunning lace detailed bodice and silk organza skirt gown, with a full-sleeved lace beaded jacket by British bridal designer Caroline Castigilano. Katie completed her ‘bridal look’ with a full-length classic veil from The Couture Veil and a delicate floral family heirloom hair accessory.

I absolutely adore Katie’s elegant and mesmerising ‘bridal look’, which I think, has subtle influences from the ballet ‘Swan Lake’ with a romantic and eternal gracefulness.

Read on to find out more about the day and Katie’s dress in her own words…

Tell me about your wedding day.
We wanted our wedding day to reflect ‘calm and pure love’, combined with lots of white flowers and foliage too!  We had SO many beautiful flowers at our wedding ceremony… this I will always remember. I walked down the aisle to Abi Alton playing piano which was idyllic. Abi also played during our drinks reception whilst guests played lawn games and enjoyed glasses of Pimms and Prosecco. At our reception, we dined underneath the hanging floral and foliage wreaths, which was simply heaven. A band called ‘The Indianas’ played at our evening reception and our guests enjoyed casino tables for entertainment too. Our wedding day was simply perfect and everything we wanted it to be.
How did you feel when wearing your dress on your wedding day?
Incredibly feminine, sophisticated, and chic. I felt myself in my Caroline Castigliano dress and my whole ‘bridal look’ came together perfectly thanks to Julia’s help. I visited Julia Tasker Bridal Couture several times before committing to the beautiful ‘Dance of the Knights’ dress from the Caroline Castigliano Collection. It was actually the third dress I tried on and it was perfect for me, along with my Caroline Castigliano lace jacket. Once Julia and I finalised my dress and accessories, I knew my dress was right for me and I was being true to myself.
What advice would give to other brides when planning their wedding?
Try and enjoy all parts of wedding day planning, even the tedious parts – it will be over before you know it!
